Have you been thinking about starting a PMA?

Private Membership Associations (PMAs) became extremely popular during COVID when business owners were desperately looking for a legal way to protect themselves and their businesses from unconstitutional lockdowns. However, most of what we have been told about PMAs is a complete LIE.

Angela Harders started a “PMA” in 2021 after taking a stand against mask and vaccine mandates in her school. She became a PMA advisor in an attempt to help people establish their own PMAs and walk in freedom, however as she investigated more into this topic, she became shocked to learn that almost everything that she had been taught was a lie – and this lie was harming many innocent people who were duped and scammed into believing the PMA propaganda.

She tried to raise her concerns to her mentor, David Edwards, the “Father of PMAs,” and she was removed from the PMA Power group along with several other PMA Advisors.

Together, Angela and her colleagues wrote the PMA Manifesto, a document that explained the 12 Myths about PMAs in an attempt to help prevent other people from being scammed as she was.

Since 2022, we have helped many well-intentioned people learn the truth about PMAs, 508c1as, and how to operate your business, ministry, or church with integrity.

If you have not purchased a PMA yet, please take the time to review Angela’s videos on this page prior to booking a consultation.

If you have previously purchased a PMA, book a consultation via the link below so that we can discuss the changes that you may need to make in order to ensure that you are organized and operating your church, ministry, FBO, club, or business properly.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is a PMA?

A Private Membership Association (PMA) is an invented term for an unincorporated association that fraudulently combines 4 distinct legal entities into one discombobulated mess: churches, ministries, private social clubs, and for-profit businesses.

What are the different types of unincorporated associations?

There are 4 different types of unincorporated associations:

  1. For-Profit Unincorporated Association (Partnership)
  2. Private Social Club (501c7)
  3. Public Charity (501c3)
  4. Church (501c3 or 508c1a)

To learn more about each type, check out the Introduction to PMAs video (above).

Does my unincorporated association have to pay taxes?

In most cases, no. Private Social Clubs are tax exempt under IRS Code 501c7. Public Charities are tax exempt under IRS Code 501c3. Churches have an automatic tax exception under IRS Code 508c1a. While the money going into your non-profit association may be tax exempt, the money coming out of your association may not be. For example, if you would like to earn income for the work that you do, you may be responsible to pay taxes on the income that you receive from the non-profit.

This is not financial advice. Please seek a qualified professional regarding your situation.

What is the difference between a 508c1a and a 501c3?

A 501c3 is a non-profit public charity that has received pre-approval of its tax exempt status.

A 508c1a is a “church, their integrated auxiliaries, and conventions, or associations of churches” that have a mandatory exception from the requirement to request tax exemption from the State. Churches are never and were never required to seek tax exempt status by becoming a 501c3 because they are already automatically tax exempt. Faith-Based Organizations and Faith-Based Ministries are NOT automatically tax exempt under section 508c1a.
